Setup

Objective: Enjoy board games in a social environment while supporting a local business.

Required:

  • 1-25 players (any age, families welcome)
  • $8 per person (3 hours) or $15 per person (unlimited)
  • 1-6 hours of time

Setup Steps:

1. Arrival
Enter Squarrel Café at 572 Atlantic Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11217. Locate the front desk.

2. Payment
Pay $8 per person (3 hours) or $15 per person (unlimited). This covers your table and unlimited access to the game library.

3. Choose Your Table
Select an available table. Larger groups (4+ players) should reserve ahead online via ResOS.

4. Browse the Library
Walk to the game shelves. Games are organized by player count, complexity, and time.

5. Select a Game
Take a game box to your table. Open it and read the rules. Staff can explain rules if needed.

6. Play
Follow the game's instructions. Return the game to the shelf when finished.

On Your Turn

Action 1: Check Your Group

  • How many players?
  • What is their experience?
  • How much time do you have?

Action 2: Browse by Category

Games are sorted into sections: Strategy, Party, Cooperative, Family, and Campaign.

Action 3: Read the Box

Each game box shows player count, play time, and complexity rating.

Action 4: Ask for Help

If you are unsure, ask staff for recommendations.

🐉 Dungeons & Dragons Night

When:
Every Wednesday, 6:00 PM - 11:00 PM

Cost:
$8 per person (same as regular play)

What is Provided:
Character sheets, dice, pencils, maps, rulebooks.

How It Works:

  1. Arrive by 6:00 PM
  2. Tell staff you are here for D&D
  3. Choose a pre-made character (or bring your own)
  4. Get assigned to a table with a Dungeon Master
  5. Play for 2-5 hours (you can leave early)

🎲 Game Night

When:
Thursday, Friday, Sunday (6:00 PM - 10:00 PM)

New to D&D?

Show up Wed at 6 PM. Staff will give you a character sheet, explain basic rules, assign you to a table, and provide dice.

Food & Drink Rules

Ordering Process:

  1. Go to the café counter (front of the space)
  2. Order food or drinks (menu on wall)
  3. Pay at counter
  4. Return to your table and continue playing
  5. Staff will bring your order directly to you

At Your Table:

  • ✅ Food and drinks are allowed at tables
  • ✅ Keep food on napkins or plates
  • ✅ Be careful with drinks near game boards
  • ❌ No drinks directly on game boards
  • ❌ Do not handle game pieces with greasy hands
